When Connecticut Magazine awarded their best Mexican in Fairfield County to Rio Border we were surprised. Rio is a tacky restaurant in a unpretentious shopping center, serving large portions of mediocre food. Many of the friendly servers have been there since Rio opened 11 years ago.
 
Hours: Lunch menu, weekdays 11:30 am - 2:30 pm, Dinner menu weekdays 5 pm - 9:30 pm (Friday to 10 pm), Saturday 11:30 am - 10:30 pm, Sunday 11:30 am - 9 pm.

Prices: Lunch entrees $8-$11, kids $4-$5, Dinner entrees $13-$18, kids $5- $6.
