For years this spot has been a casual restaurant serving comfort food at modest prices. Many remember it as the Mianus River Tavern, then Augies, then Bull dog. Now Ron Rosa, owner of Polpo, has transformed it into a southern Italian restaurant with white tablecloths and valet parking. We gravitate to the more rustic dishes such as the tasty Rigatoni Nonna and applaud having specials with prices on a blackboard.

Hours: Monday - Thursday, 11:45 am - 11 pm; Friday & Saturday, to 11:30 pm, Sunday to 10 pm.

Prices: Lunch sandwiches $12; Dinner entrees $17 - $28, sides $6 - $7; Wine by the glass $7 - $11.
