Le Pain Quotidien (often called LPQ) has 114 locations, of which
28 are in the USA. The restaurant is decorated in rustic,
farmhouse style with large wooden communal tables. The company
encourages customers to sit together and converse with strangers
at these table. Fortunately, there are also a large number of
individual tables for the less gregarious. Fresh food and good
service are priorities as are the desserts and breads, like
their famous Challah bread. They have a good selection vegan
dishes.
Hours: Open every day 7 am - 8 pm (Saturday & Sunday open at
7:30 am)
Prices: quiche $12 - $13, tartines $9 - $14, specials $13 -
$15, salads $8 - $16.
Size: Seats 100 (2 large tables, each seats 24; 26 tables
for 2).
