A welcoming diner, with a celebrity-studded clientele, that has been open since 1923. It was completely rebuilt in 2002 with a sleek new look. Nick, the friendly owner, has operated the restaurant for over 17 years. He keeps prices low and serves hearty portions. This is what a diner is supposed to be. Everyone has their favorites here; we particularly like their Greek salad and baklava. It is a popular late-night meeting place for students.

Hours: Sunday - Thursday, 6 am - 1 pm; Friday & Saturday open 24 hours. Lunch hours, 11 am - 3 pm. No reservations.

Prices: Breakfast $2 - $5; Lunch, burgers $5 - $9, sandwiches $8 - 14; Complete dinner entrees $13 - $18.
