Steve and Kathleen treated us to a happy evening at the Elms.
The food is yummy and plentiful, the vintage dining room in the
200-year-old house is charming and cozy. The service is friendly
and attentive. No background music, no noise, just sounds of
conversation and laughter. The menu has American heritage
favorites, such as veal in sherry cream sauce and potted brisket
of beef. Reserve a table on the porch in warm weather. For a
romantic weekend, request one of 23 charming rooms (including 6
suites), some with poster beds at the Elms Inn next door.
Hours: Lunch, Wednesday - Sunday, 11:30 am - 2:30 pm;
Dinner, Wednesday - Sunday, 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm (Friday & Saturday
until 10 pm.)
